The National Center for Race Amity (NCRA) has appointed Martha Elliott as the organization’s Interim Chief Operating Officer (COO). “We are very happy to make this announcement “ said William H. “Smitty” Smith NCRA Founding Executive Director. “Martha’s years of service to NCRA as a volunteer and contract staff
has afforded her a deep familiarity with NCRA operations and programs. Her professional skills and program management experience are timely to this period” Smith continued in his comments. Elliott comes to the position from her work as a private consultant and as Assistant Vice President, Digital Operations at Natixis Investment Managers in Boston where she served for five years. Elliott’s appointment is seen as timely asNCRA transitions to expanded activity in its second decade of operation. She will manage day to day operations at NCRA and staff. Smith said her role will include leading NCRA’s plan to establish formal chapters across the nation along with conferences and work with the organization to establish the National Race Amity Institute in Atlanta.
