Riders for Race Amity Bike Relay
The Riders for Race Amity Bike Trip is a powerful journey on two wheels, bringing cyclists together to promote unity, understanding, and meaningful conversations about race. This long-distance ride is more than just a test of endurance—it’s a movement dedicated to bridging racial divides through dialogue, education, and shared experiences.
As they travel from city to city, riders will engage with local communities, visit historical landmarks, and participate in discussions centered around race amity—the belief that friendship and collaboration across racial lines are key to a more just society. Through their shared miles, they aim to spark awareness, inspire action, and foster lasting connections.
The relay bike ride will kick off at the State Capitol in Madison, WI on Saturday June 14 and conclude with a public celebration gathering at the National Race Amity Institute in Atlanta on June 28. Public gatherings are planned as they pass through the following towns and cities:
- Rockford, IL
- Peoria, IL
- St. Louis MO
- Paducah, KY
- Nashville, TN
- Huntsville, AL
- Birmingham, AL
- Selma, AL
- Montgomery, AL
- Atlanta, GA
