NCRA Designates “Allied Programs in Race Amity”

The National Center for Race Amity (NCRA) announces it is embracing two organizations as Allied Programs in Race Amity (APRA): UnityWorks® Foundation and Idea Connection Systems®, Inc. (ICS) Mosaic Partnerships Program. These two organizations are the first to receive this designation from NCRA.

NCRA develops forums and initiatives to advance cross-racial and cross-cultural amity that impact the public discourse on race by creating association and mutual support for likeminded work. NCRA was among the original members of the Consortium of Equity Conferences (CEC), the brainchild of White Privilege Conference founder Dr. Eddie Moore, Jr.  APRA is inspired by the CEC model with direct focus on cultivating race amity as the primary focus.  Each CEC member organization is dedicated to peace, equity, and social justice. Their primary mission is to support, network, and take action.

UnityWorks is a national nonprofit educational organization committed to a belief in the oneness of humanity, the value of diversity, and the need for unity. Their mission is to promote cross-racial and cross-cultural understanding, equity and inclusion, with a focus on K-12 schools.

ICS’s Mosaic Partnerships Program is a transformational process that creates intimate friendships across racial and ethnic lines that lead to increased social capital in communities.

The APRA organizations will have a link on the NCRA website home page and compelling high profile developments shared in the NCRA Newsletter beginning in February.
