The National Center for Race Amity (NCRA) and Mesa Community College announces First Annual Southwest Regional Race Amity Conference, October 4-5, 2019

The National Center for Race Amity (NCRA) and Mesa Community College announces First Annual Southwest Regional Race Amity Conference, October 4-5, 2019 at Mesa Community College in Phoenix Arizona. Mesa Community College, the nation’s largest post-secondary two-year public institution, will be the site of a two-day conference focusing on model programs and activities that enable bridging the racial divide. The conference is co-hosted by the Mesa Community College Cultural Sciences Department and the of Office of Student Life with NCRA. The conference theme “Celebrating Racial and Cultural Amity in Hispanic Heritage” will include national and local and activists and leaders as presenters. Conference registration seeks to have 60/40 composition with students being the majority. The conference will bring students and the larger general community together for learning, sharing, moral cross-pollination aimed at bridging the racial divide.
