The third annual Boston Race Amity Arts and Music Festival was held at Faneuil Hall Marketplace on Saturday July 27. It was a wonderful success, with thousands of people enjoying the sunshine, the music, guest appearance by Penn Badgley and free ice cream from Festival co-sponsor Ben and Jerry’s. Ben and Jerry’s founders Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield were on hand to greet the public and reinforce the message of cross-racial, cross-cultural friendship. Hundreds of people stopped by the Race Amity booth to learn about “The Other Tradition” and sign on to a petition calling for the establishment of Race Amity Day as an annual national commemorative day on the second Sunday in June.
Thank you to the folks at Faneuil Hall Marketplace for posting this wonderful Instagram Reel with highlights from the Festival.
