The National Center for Race Amity is proud to welcome Andrea Kelton-Harris, J.D., to its Board of Directors.
Ms. Kelton-Harris is the Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) in Harvard University’s Faculty of Arts and Sciences (FAS) Human Resources Department (HR). In this inaugural role in FAS HR, Andrea serves as a strategic thought leader and partner for matters related to DEIB amongst staff in the FAS. Under the leadership of the Associate Dean for Human Resources, she serves as the central contact for administering and fostering diversity/inclusion, DEIB training and workshops across the FAS. Andrea develops and leads FAS HR and FAS wide programs and delivers presentations and workshops independently and in partnership with other diversity/equity officers across Harvard. She represents FAS HR and the FAS on FAS and University wide committees. A committed and passionate DEIB influencer and practitioner, Andrea serves as an internal expert to those in FAS HR and beyond. Her work is done in support of three important DEIB goals: inclusive leadership, authenticity and networking/visibility.
Andrea joined Harvard in 2003. She possesses over 30 years of experience in multiple human resources disciplines and roles including Vice President of Human Resources at Dimock Community Health Center, Manager of Employment, and Employee Relations Specialist at Children’s Hospital in Boston. She holds a BS in Business Administration from Lesley University and a JD from Suffolk University Law School.
The addition of Ms. Kelton-Harris brings the current board membership to 11 (View full board here). With the Board’s tremendous capacity and breadth of experience, NCRA is well positioned to expand its programmatic offerings, launch the new National Race Amity Institute in Atlanta, enhance the organization’s visibility and engage new audiences, and strengthen its human resources and development strategies.
