National Race Amity Institute
The National Race Amity Institute is anticipated to open in Spring 2024 in the Be on Edgewood complex, located at 395 Edgewood Ave. SE in Atlanta’s Sweet Auburn District. Permitting and other preparations are underway for the construction and renovation of the planned 8,000 square-foot facility, with 3,000 square feet dedicated for use by the National Race Amity Institute.
Be on Edgewood will offer office space for local businesses and nonprofits, as well as flexible spaces for community gatherings and performances. Atlanta-based Yavari Development Corporation provided philanthropic support to the project, and the City of Atlanta provided a $1.45 million grant to assist with the renovation and construction at the historic preservation site.
