Recipient Profiles

Ron Burton Training Village

The Ron Burton Training Village (RBTV) trains youth to achieve their purpose, despite life’s challenges, through education, leadership, physical wellness, social advancement and spiritual growth. Ron Burton Sr., the first ever draft pick of the New England Patriots, had the vision and dream of building the Village, located on 300 acres about 1.5 hours west of Boston. Today the Burton family manages and operates the training village with passion and dedication to supporting Ron’s vision and growing the impact of RBTV.

Riders for Race Amity

Riders for Race Amity is a biking initiative dedicated to fostering racial healing and unity. This annual event takes an interracial group of youth ages 12 to 18, along with their adult mentors and support crew, on a two-week, cross-country cycling voyage, visiting historical sites, hosting discussion gatherings and engaging in service projects along the way. By promoting dialogue, reflection, and action, the ride raises awareness of racial biases, builds bridges across racial divides, and inspires lasting change.

Dr.  Randie Gottlieb

Dr. Gottlieb is the founder of UnityWorks, an educational program committed to reducing prejudice, and promoting an understanding of the oneness of humanity, the value of diversity and the need for unity―with a focus on K-12 schools. Started in 2013 on the Yakima Indian Reservation in Washington state, the program grew to encompass dozens of schools in the Pacific northwest. In 2025, NCRA adopted UnityWorks as one of its core programs.
