Construction update: National Race Amity Institute

Since the July 2023 groundbreaking of renovation and construction of the building that will house the National Race Amity Institute in Atlanta, work on the new facility has been steadily progressing.

The building is designated as a historic preservation site in the Atlanta’s Sweet Auburn District, which requires careful time-consuming steps, but the work is progressing steadily. The interior walls and spaces are being sectioned off for the main areas of the institute, including the exhibit hall, seminar room, resource center, offices and auditorium. Construction is expected to be completed by early summer, and the institute will formally open in Fall 2024.

Will the Center be open early August 2024? Will be attending the ABS Conference 8/2-4 and would like to visit this Center with my family.
